I am a passionate ecologist with broad interest in everything about nature. The focus of my research has been on biodiversity and socio-ecological management conflicts in agricultural landscapes.
I hold a PhD in Physical Geography from Stockholm University, with a inter-disciplinary project looking at EU policy effects on biodiversity. Prior to my PhD, I took a MSc in Biology and Earth Science, also Stockholm University. During and after the studies, I was involved in various research projects in both alpine and agriculture dominated regions of Sweden as well as in rural Japan.
Today, I take part in a systematic review project with the Swedish Research Council (Formas) and run my own ecology and orienteering business as independent contractor. I do the bulk part of my consultancy work for the Swedish Board of Agriculture, evaluating questions related to the EU's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). In parallel, I coach four elite orienteers in their training.
